Multicultural education is a set of strategies and materials in education, developed to assist teachers in promoting democracy while responding to the many issues created by the rapidly changing demographics of their students. Multicultural education means to ensure the highest levels of academic achievement for all students: it helps students develop a positive self-concept by providing knowledge about the histories, cultures, and contributions of diversity groups. Multicultural Education: From Theory to Practice – which includes the contributions of academics and researchers from two continents and 14 culturally-challenged countries – aims to provide a platform for multicultural education researchers to present new research and developments in the area. This handbook offers a state-of-the-art overview of quantitative science and technology research. It focuses on the development and application of indicators derived from data on scientific or scholarly publications and patents. These stories are narrated almost completely in the present tense. Generally there is also some use of modal verbs &– especially must, can, should and have to. Most of these readers include exercises on comparative adjectives, irregular plural nouns and interrogative words and constructions. The illustrations are a tool for building and testing vocabulary.

The papers in this volume were the fruitful scientific results of the Second International Conference on Social Robotics (ICSR), held during November 23–24, 2010 in Singapore, which was jointly organized by the Social Robotics Laboratory (SRL), Interactive Digital Media Institute (IDMI), the National University of Singapore and 2 Human Language Technology Department, the Institute for Infocomm Research (I R), A*STAR, Singapore.
